Mindfulness practice consists of both formal and informal meditations, in which everything from attention to breathing to mindful walking to the silent enjoyment of a meal becomes an opportunity for meditation. Mindfulness is being used in relapse prevention and early recovery including detox. Workshop will introduce the practice of mindfulness and its therapeutic application to addictions, including the latest research on mindfulness.
