This course will examine several topics related to children's mental health and substance use. During this intensive course we will look at specific interventions for specific mental health diagnoses, substance use interventions as well as examine the importance of working with families and the children's support system to begin and maintain recovery. This course will examine evidence based interventions supported by empirical evidence that supports the efficacy of the intervention. Please be aware that this course will be extensive and require about 4-5 hours a week of your time to complete assigned readings, tests, discussion forums and a final paper.
